Day Two

Personal

Class was blah. I got about 5 hours of sleep. The first half of the class was so dull I had a hard time staying awake. Lunch came and after finding my way through the most insane parking garage ever, I headed back to the hotel for a nap. After about a 30 minute nap, I felt much better. The rest of the class flew by.

After class, I decided to check out the DDR at the White Plains mall about 2 miles from my hotel. Their machine was quite nice by bowling alley standards (would be ghetto anywhere else). I would have AAA'ed EoTC light but I ended up getting one miss and all perfects. I blame the pad for that one. What's that, anyway? SDM? Anyway, I played about 5 games, and went to find a supermarket.

I bought some cereal, drinks, yogurt, cottage cheese, and french bread to sustain me for the next few days. Hey, it's cheaper than going out to eat, andsince this hotel room has a full kitchen, I figure why the hell not.

Leslie called with some bad news about the sporky, looks like his radiator is cracked and will need replacement to the tune of around $500. Poor Sporky. The dealership was hopeful that it was the thermostat, but a diagnostic showed a crack in the bottom of it. Damn. Poor Leslie. She's there and I'm here.

I got home around 7 and spent the evening doing homework. I'm going out tomorrow night so I wanted to get as much homework done as possible so I wouldn't have to deal with school work as much during the next coupld of days. There's been jack shit on TV because of the stupid NCAA playoffs. Fucking basketball. I've been watching TLC's Trauma: Life in the ER show, and it's got some mad crazy shit on it. Earlier they were showing the stupid celebrity plastic surgery show with this dumb chick who wanted to look like Pam Anderson. So much graphic TV on, yet, the graphic TV I *wanted* to see, i.e. CSI, was preempted because of the stupid NCAA playoffs. Damnit.

So, tomorrow's another day and another class. I'm getting ready to go to bed right now. I think I'm doing ok with the time change. I think some sleep on the plane and having such a long day today helped contribute to that. Then again, I think it's much easier to go forward 3 time zones (4 if you count the the DST change on Sunday) than to go back 3 time zones.

Anyway, enough yammering for today. I'm sure I'll have plenty more to write tomorrow.
