Something truly oddball to start the day for me..
Anybody who knows me knows that I grew up in a pretty artsy family. My father being a beat poetry presence, writer of far too many books, and musician, singer, and songwriter, and my mother also being a musician, singer, and songwriter.
In 1984, my mother put out a childrens' album Faces: New Songs for Kids on the Folkways (now Smithsonian-Folkways) record label. The album cover has my mother singing to me. I was 5 years old.
Now, imagine my shock to find out this morning that MSN Music acquired the rights to redistribute the Smithsonian-Folkways catalog through the MSN Music Store and to see this with this:

Then there was this. Although it lacked the same shock value.
Don't get me started on the Korean site doing a review of an album with my parents on it from the 1960s.
Freaky.
