So, yeah. Today was pretty lame.

After a crappy night's sleep, I woke up at 9:00. Schlepped over to the computer in my underwear to check my e-mail. I hear Leslie calling my name. Turns out she's at the door talking to a cop. Her car was broken into again.

Hey, folks, pop quiz.

You go into your underground parking garage and see a car with its passenger window busted out, hood cracked, trunk and passenger side door open, and alarm going off. Do you:
a) Go on about your business. After all, it's probably some new ricer fashion statement.
b) Call the police department and report that there has been a car broken into.
c) Call the apartment building's management office at 4 am and decide to leave a message.
d) Both a and b.

The answer is d. Yes, d. See, this just proves that I live with a bunch of inconsiderate ass hats. See, apparently, the car was broken into between 1 and 3 am. This is a 4 story apartment building with about 200 tenants. There must have been dozens of cars going in and out of the garage at this time. It's pretty obvious from the broken window, crowbared open trunk, and what-not that the car was broken into. Hell, the alarm was STILL GOING OFF until Leslie went downstairs at 9am to talk to the police. That's probably 8 hours that the alarm was going off from an obviously broken into car. But, did anybody bother to call the police? Nope. Everybody just gleefully ignored it and went on about their lives.

The guy who was parked next to us was in the garage at 4am taking his parents to the airport. He said that a book that was in our trunk was sitting on his hood, so he put it back in the trunk. Gee, how FUCKING CONSIDERATE. HEY, THANKS FOR CALLING THE COPS, COCK SMOKER. Oh, but he did call the management office at 4am. Yeah, like there's going to be anybody there. Well, fuck you too, you piece of shit excuse for a human being.

But, I can't feel too bad. Another car in our garage was broken into, and two cars in the other building next door were broken into. So, that's 4 cars hit in one night in the same apartment complex, and not one person bothers to call the police. I am simply beside myself. I mean, how hard is it to dial 911 and say, "yeah I'm at so-and-so address and there's some cars broken into, please send someone over." Hell, you don't even have to wait around. Nobody did shit.

The good news is that there were security cameras recently installed and they got a good face shot of the two fuckwads that did this. I hope they get caught. Oh yes, I do. I mean they are pretty stupid going into a busy parking garage to bust into some cars. So, they are hopefully stupid enough to get caught.

Anyway, here's the damage report.

Trunk lid lock broken. Trunk lid damaged from it being pryed open. Rear passenger side quarter panel damaged from a prying attempt. Various scratches and nicks on the passenger side door from falling glass. Broken passenger side window. Paint chip taken out of passenger side front fender. Broken console dash bezel from ripping out the stereo equipment. Kenwood Sirius satelite radio receiver stolen. JL Audio 2x10" Subwoofer box stolen. Phoenix Gold 1000W amp stolen. Approximately $2 in loose change in the change pocket stolen, yes, they even took the fucking pocket change. Maybe they will use it in jail to call their mothers to bail them out. So far the damage estimate is over $2000. Insurance will also cover the stolen stereo equipment since it was bolted down. In all it will probably run insurance upwards of $4000. We also have a rental car. So, insurance is paying for that too.

Let's talk about work. The other day I got over 20 trouble tickets assigned to me. My manager is once again jumping down my throat about 'not being proactive enough.' It's total bullshit. I can't do dev work and troubleshooting on other shit at the same time. I think I'm going to start scoping out other positions in the company far, far, far away from operations because I'm getting really tired of this bullshit.

Anyway, later that day we went to Illusionz to play DDR. What was irritating is with every other DDR machine completely empty, the evening's Team Seattle representatives put their card up on our machine. I don't know if it's just me, but I thought that was kind of rude, but perhaps it was my already nasty disposition for the day. I mean c'mon, the other machine is not two feet away and nobody's using it. Maybe the bar's not screwed on tight enough on that one, who the fuck knows. But, oh well. Leslie and I played some ITG and got really fed up with it along with being really ass tired. I played something on Expert, once again cementing how much the Expert steps suck donkey cock.

We went home and I started looking at the team assignment for this shitty project management class that I'm in that's due today. The other team members managed to put together what is probably the WORST POWERPOINT PRESENTATION EVER. It's so fucking awful. They may as well have put some shitty transitions or sound effects in it to really put it over the edge.

Anyway, I'm really fucking bitter right now.

Oh, I almost forgot. Everybody wants to see pictures, right?

Here they are...
